Giving a gift isn't about how much you spend, and no one wants to know how much a present costs. When you give tickets to a concert, movie, play or sporting event, though, the cost is written directly on the ticket. If it makes you feel gauche to hand over a present with the sticker price printed where it can't be removed, get creative. Hide the price so no one knows how much you spent to send Uncle Edward to a Boston Pops show.
Instructions
1. Call the box office. Ask if covering the price will void the ticket. If they say it will, you should not proceed.
2. Place a piece of paper over the ticket and trace how large the price is.
3. Go to the post office or an office supply store. Look for fun stickers or postage stamps. Choose holiday themes, celebratory designs or something that will call to mind an inside joke or personal connection with the recipient. Match the size of the sticker against the size of the price on the ticket.
4. Place the sticker over the price and nothing else.
Tips Warnings
Scribbling over the price works as well, but this isn't as attractive on a ticket given as a gift.
Don't cover anything on the ticket except the price.
