Use the scanner's transparent media scanner to image slides.
The Scanjet 3570C is a flatbed scanner capable of scanning a variety of materials. The scanner comes equipped with a transparent media adapter, which slides into a slot on the inside of the scanner's lid. When you scan a slide, or any other transparent media such as photo negatives, the inside of the scanner's lid lights up, allowing the scanner to properly scan the slides. Once you have scanned the slides, you can edit them the same way you would photographs.
Instructions
1. Turn on the scanner and the attached computer. Open the scanner and remove the transparent media adapter from the inside of the lid.
2. Click on the Start or Windows icon button, then select All Programs or Programs. Select the folder labeled HP and click on HP Solution Center.
3. Insert the slides in the transparent media adapter. Reinsert the adapter into its slot inside the scanner's lid, then close the lid tightly.
4. Select the Scanjet 3570 from the list of devices on the left. Click on Scan Film. Wait as the scanner images the slides.
5. Crop the images of the slides and make any other adjustments necessary, then click on Finish. Choose a place on the computer's hard drive to save the scanned slides.
