Eating these foods is an easy way to prevent vomiting without taking a medicine.


Peppermint


Peppermint is a powerful herb often used for an upset stomach. It calms and relaxes the stomach muscles. Food digests easier after eating peppermint because it helps the flow of bile in the stomach. Many restaurants provide peppermint candies for customers after their meal. You can also drink peppermint tea to prevent vomting.


Ginger

For an upset stomach, you can suck on crystallized ginger like it is candy. You can make ginger tea from fresh ginger. The easiest way to get ginger into the system is to drink gingerale.

BRAT diet


The BRAT diet is used for both upset stomach and diarrhea. It is most often used to help children, but will help adults as well. BRAT stands for bananas, rice, apples and toast. The BRAT diet prevents vomiting or stops vomiting. These foods are low in fiber, and bananas are high in potassium. Bananas provides a quick way to get nutrients back in the body after losing from vomiting. You can eat many variations of these foods. Rice can be cookied rice or dry rice cereal. Apples could be fresh apples or applesauce.
