Salton Waffle Maker Instructions

Enjoy fresh homemade waffles with a Salton waffle maker.

A Salton waffle maker lets you make authentic Belgian style waffles at home. While you can only make one waffle at a time, these machines cook batter quickly to produce golden brown waffles in minutes. If you've lost your instruction manual or purchased your waffle maker secondhand, don't worry. Even a novice cook can create delicious waffles with this easy to use counter top appliance.

Instructions

1. Place the waffle maker on a level surface and plug it into an electrical outlet.

2. Press the power button located on the base of the waffle maker to turn it on.

3. Press the shade button located to the right of the power button repeatedly to select how dark you want your waffle. Levels one and two produce light-colored waffles, three and four are for medium-colored waffles and you can make dark-colored waffles with levels five and six.

4. Close the waffle maker so the grids are not exposed and wait for it to heat. When the waffle maker is ready to use, the green ready light on the right side of the control panel will illuminate.

5. Open the waffle maker and pour 3/4 cup to 1 cup of batter onto the center of the waffle grid. Spread the batter to the edges of the grid gently with a plastic spatula.

6. Close the lid and immediately twist the handle clockwise to turn the waffle grids upside down. The timer on your Salton waffle maker will begin to countdown.

7. Wait for the waffle maker to beep, indicating that the waffle is finished cooking.

8. Twist the handle counterclockwise to turn the waffle grids right side up and open the lid.

9. Lift the waffle out of the waffle maker and onto your plate with a plastic spatula or a wooden spoon.

10. Continue to cook waffles following steps five through nine. When you finish cooking, unplug the waffle maker and let it cool completely.

11. Clean the cool waffle maker with a rag dampened in soapy water. Rinse the machine with a rag dampened in clean water and dry it with a clean towel before you store the waffle maker.

Tips Warnings

Spray a small amount of non-stick cooking spray onto the grids of your waffle maker if you have a problem with waffles sticking to the appliance.

Do not use metal utensils to remove waffles from the waffle maker. This can scratch the non-stick coating on your waffle maker and your waffles might begin to stick to the grids over time.

Do not submerge the Salton waffle maker in water. This could cause injury due to electrical shock and damage the appliance.
