Estimated cost on sliding glass door window glass replacement
The condo I am selling for an estate, just recently had a home inspection. The sliding glass door works properly however the glass is fogged and the buyers want it replaced. Also two vinyl windows, have cracks in the glass that they also want fixed. I am unable to fix these issues however I would like to credit them back money at the closing to go towards the cost of repairs. Any suggestions on how much to credit back. As far a the sliding glass door, is under $1000 to low, and the windows, can just the glass be fixed with out replacing them??? Thanks in advance!!!! Don't know where you are located..........In the New York area the glass doors about $200-300 per panel and the windows about $100-$150 each. Why not call a local glass shop and get an estimate!!! These price should hold true in CT and they are for replacing the insulating glass ONLY. You do not replace the entire door or window. You just replace the fogged glazing unit. Much faster, easier and cheaper than a total replcement. A good glass store will probably have yours in stock if it is reasonably common. Dick
