The color pink can represent happiness. This is because when people are happy, their faces often get pink and flushed. It is a playful color that can also represent friendship too. Since pink also can represent love, people who are in love or loving someone are usually happy. There is a certain playful and warm quality in the color pink, that sparks happiness. Dresses in pink are usually very playful and passionate too, therefore happiness is often equated with the color pink.

This color pink has been proven to relieve irritated people and help them transition into more passive, less aggressive moods. This color has been painted on the walls of the drunk tanks in some jails because studies showed that it made violent people more calm. Some prison cells were also painted in pink to make the prisoner feel more passive. The color pink has also been painted in sports visitors' locker rooms with the belief that it would make the opposing team more passive.
