Apply Cleansing Detox Foot Pads

Detox foot pads---or Japanese foot pads---are developed from natural tree extracts that are purported to help draw wastes and toxins out of the body in a manner similar to plant osmosis through the soles of your feet. These pads are reputed to stimulate reflex points on the bottom of the feet to help with such ailments as fatigue, sore joints, water retention, poor circulation, migraines, rashes and other health issues. Detox foot pads work conveniently at night while you sleep.

Instructions

1. Prepare one adhesive sheet and one detox foot pad. Carefully remove the adhesive paper to expose the sticky part of the adhesive sheet. Lay the sheet sticky side up across a solid surface.

2. Remove the detox pad from its protective paper. Position it over the adhesive pad with the writing or colored side of the pad facing the adhesive. You want the white portion of the pad to face up.

3. Lay the detox foot pad in the center of the adhesive sheet, pressing it firmly to attach.

4. Pick up the adhesive and pad by the edges and rotate it over so the sticky part is positioned over the middle portion on the bottom side of your foot. Lay across the sole of the foot on the reflex points you wish to cover. See the Resource section of this guide for a reflexology foot chart.

5. Press the pad gently across your foot, securing the adhesive around the pad to make sure it is well-adhered. Repeat steps 1 through 4 on other foot. Go to bed as usual.

6. Keep the pads on your feet for a minimum of 6 to 8 hours while sleeping. Gently peel the pads off in the morning and clean your feet with an antibacterial wipe or soap and water and a washcloth. Discard used pads in the trash.
