Get Rid of Facial Scars

1. The best way to get rid of facial scars is to prevent them before they develop. Upon the cut or sore happening, make sure it's cleaned and a cream such as Neosporin is used to both fight infection and reduce the scarring. if at all. Apply this or a similar cream to the scar at least twice a day without creating too much excess. If you are interested in removing an old scar, realize it may be years before the scar is less visible.

2. Once the scar begins to heal, use a major scar removal brand, such as Cocoa Butter or Merderma, to treat the scar. These should be used as directed, but once applied often throughout a day for several days, you will likely see an improvement in the visibility of the scar or mark.

3. Also, be sure to keep the scars out of direct sunlight, such as tanning with it uncovered, as the UV rays may damage the skin cells and make the rebuilding period longer and the scar harder to heal.

4. If the scar begins to keloid, consult your doctor about alternative methods such as a shot or cortisone, which may reduce the size.
