Chewing tobacco, cigarettes, pipes and cigars all increase the risk of developing gingivitis. They promote bacteria growth and weaken your immune system thus allowing gingivitis to thrive.
2. Keep your diabetes in check. An elevated sugar level increases your risk of developing gingivitis. Keeping a close check on your sugar levels will help to minimize growth of the disease.
