Foods That Help With Hypoglycemia

People with hypoglycemia need to be extra careful with the foods they choose, since keeping their blood sugars regulated is imperative. Luckily, there are foods that help to keep the blood sugars normalized.

Meat

Meats are high in protein and can keep your sugars stabilized. Try to eat lean cuts of meat that are lower in fat.

Whole Grains

Whole grains, especially when eaten with a protein, can keep both the energy levels steady and the blood sugar levels even.

Vegetables

Vegetables are wonderful for a person with hypoglycemia. Vegetables such as spinach and celery are particularly helpful. Avoid white potatoes.

Certain Fruits

Certain fruits can be great for hypoglycemia and are high in vitamins, which help give you energy and stamina. The allowable fruits are avocados and tomatoes.

Fish

Fish high in oils, such as salmon, are high in omega fatty acids. Omega fatty acids help to keep the blood sugar regulated in the system.
