Think More Effectively

Think More Effectively

Your memory is the most important thing that we have. We need our memory for work, school and everything in life. Without it we are an empty shell, with no past and not future. There are tricks that we can use to help us have better memories.

Instructions

1. Repeat the thing that you want to remember. For instance if you are at a party and are introduced to someone new, repeat their name over and over in your head. End the conversation with the person's name. (Nice you meet you John!)

2. Make up clues and things that will trigger the information that you want to recall. Use something that will trigger a strong image. The more ridiculous the trigger is the better it is. Say you want to remember the name Mr. Baker. Envision Mr. Baker with a head like a loaf of bread. It is funny and hard to forget.

3. Try to find a connection song, or rhyme what will help you to remember. I can still remember the ABC song from kindergarten the, I before E except after C... and the 30 days have September rhyme, to this date.
