Vacuum cleaners have become more versatile than ever before. These household cleaning appliances often come equipped with several components such as crevice tools, brushes and extensions. Many modern vacuums also come equipped with a hanging rack or bracket, allowing the owner to hang the cleaner on a wall in a closet or laundry room, saving valuable space. Hanging a vacuum is a simple project and can be done in less than a half hour.
Instructions
1. Place a stud finder on the wall on which you will hang your vacuum to find the studs.
2. Hold the vacuum cleaner hanger or bracket against the wall over the selected stud and mark the pre-drilled hanger holes with a pencil on the wall.
3. Choose a drill bit slightly smaller or equal in size to the screws that came with the mounting kit. Attach the drill bit to a drill.
4. Drill pilot holes into the wall through the pencil marks.
5. Align the bracket or wall mount with the holes in the wall and drive screws into the holes through the bracket with a screw gun.
6. Hang the vacuum on the bracket or mount to finish.
