Get Over An Intestinal Virus Quicker

An intestinal virus can cause diarrhea, stomach pain, vomiting, loss of appetite and overwhelming fatigue. If you contract a virus, it will have to run it's course, but you can reduce the time you will have to endure its effects.


Instructions


1. Hydrate, Your body will be expelling fluids, and you must replace them.


Drink plenty of fresh water. Avoid drinks containing alcohol or caffeine, which can dehydrate you further.


2. Rest. Take naps when you need to and go to bed early. Ask someone to help around the house with chores. When you feel fatigued, listen to your body and get the rest you need.


3. Eat even if you do not feel like it. Stick to light foods, such as soup or broth with lightly buttered toast. Don't eat heavy or rich meals, but eat something to maintain your strength.


4. Supplement. You probably won't be eating enough to get the vitamins and minerals your body needs, so take a potent multivitamin. Take the vitamin with food to avoid stomach upset.


5. Apply warm compresses or a heating pad to your stomach to ease the pain and relax you.


6. Seek medical assistance if you are not better in a day or two.








You may be suffering from something worse than a common virus.
