Handle Anxiety


The heart pounding, the breathing faster, the feeling of passing out, the dizziness. These are sings of a panic attack caused by stress, worry and anxiety. Here are a few ways to get a handle on it.








Instructions


1. Look up. Looking up to the sky helps. It opens your heart and lungs helping you breath a lot better. It's harder to feel trapped and helpless for some reason, when you are looking to the sky. So the next time you feel as if your heart will beat out of your chest just look up.


2. Take deep breaths. When you find yourself in the moment where your breathing is rapid, count as you breath in. Couting also helps take your mind off of your worry. Just breath in counting up to 5 and breathing out, do the same. deep inhalation, long exhalations. As you do this, focus on getting your breath down to


3. Take a walk. Walking is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety.


4. Call a freind, have someone help talk you down. It helps a LOT.








5. Splash cool water on your face and wrists, this also helps.
