Flor Essence Side Effects

Flor Essence is an herbal mixture that may be used to treat different types of cancer, diabetes and gastrointestinal diseases. Flor Essence is taken in liquid form as a tea or tonic. Flor Essence is primarily made up of eight herbs including burdock root, Indian rhubarb root, sheep sorrel, slippery elm (the inner bark), watercress, blessed thistle, red clover and kelp. Side effects from Flor Essence are mild.

Nausea

According to the National Cancer Institute, nausea is one of only two reported side effects of taking Flor Essence (see link in Resources). Taking Flor Essence may cause uneasiness in the stomach with flu-like symptoms.

Vomiting

Vomiting is the only other reported side effect of taking Flor Essence (see link in Resources). Flor Essence may make it difficult to hold down both solids and liquids and may be accompanied by light-headedness and/or headaches.

Bowel Movements

Because of the doses Flor Essence is taken in, Flor Essence may increase bowl movement and increase urination. Flor Essence is taken in doses of up to 12 oz. a day.

Swollen Glands

Taking Flor Essence may result in swollen glands. Glands that may become swollen include glands around the jaw and neck area.

Skin Blemishes

Because Flor Essence is a natural substance made from herbs, the body, in particular the skin, may have an allergic reaction. One allergic reaction includes blotches or blemishes on the skin.
