2. Find natural progesterone cream. There are a variety of natural progesterone creams on the market. These can be purchased online or at a natural foods/health store. Make sure that the cream contains 20mg of progesterone per 1/4 tsp. This is the recommended dosage. Creams can come in a tube or in single use packets. The normal level of progesterone (10 to 40 mg/day) can be obtained by applying 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. once or twice a day (depending on the use) over one area of your body such as your belly, thighs, face or arms. Do not apply the cream to your breasts.

Use approximately 1/4 tsp. twice per day (morning and at bedtime). Stop using the cream on day 26. Resume the same regimen the following month. For menopause or post hysterectomy: Apply cream 24 days out of the month and then discontinue for six to seven days. Apply 1/4 tsp. twice per day morning and at bedtime for all 24 days.
