Make professional massage therapy business cards on the computer.

With massage offering benefits such as reducing depression, providing more energy, increasing concentration and lessening migraine pain, it's no wonder that colleges such as Wayne State University tout the practice as an ideal therapy. As more people line up for a rub down, get your licensed name out into the community as a massage practitioner with business cards. Whether you're recruiting new clients for a solo practice or a boutique storefront, make professional massage therapy business cards on the computer using one of a number of different computer programs.

Instructions

Using Word

1. Open Microsoft Word. Click the "File" tab and select "New." Click the "Business cards" button. Double-click the "Print business cards" file icon. Scroll through the business card templates. There is no preset massage template, but any card may be customized. Double-click a template and a new Word window opens with a page of the cards.

2. Click into the top-left card on the page. Highlight and type over the placeholder name and address lines with the cardholder details such as name, hours of operation, address, website and license number.

3. Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the screen. Click the "Picture" button below the tab. Browse to a massage-themed photo, such as hot stones on a back or hands in a massage position. Double-click the image to add it to the top-left card.

4. Highlight all of the new text and the image on the top-left card. Press the "Ctrl" and "C" keys to copy the highlighted material. Click into the next generic card on the page, highlight the text and press the "Ctrl" and "V" keys to paste in the new details. Repeat to paste over the other cards on the page.

5. Click the "File" tab, select "Save As," type a name for the business cards and click the "Save" button.

Using Paint

6. Open Paint, click the Paint button and select the "Open" option. Navigate to a massage photo or company logo and double-click the file name. The image opens in the Paint workspace. Click the Paint button again and select "Properties."

7. Type "3.5" into the "Width" box. Type "2" into the "Height" box. Select the "Inches" radio button. Click the "OK" button and Paint resizes the workspace. Drag the photo or logo into place on the card.

8. Choose a small colored square from the "Colors" section of the ribbon/toolbar. Click the text tool, the "A" icon. Click the business card and select a font and text size.

9. Type the massage practitioner's information, including name, license number, specialties such as Swedish or sports and get in contact to make an appointment.

10. Click the Paint button. Click "Save As." Give the card file a name and click "Save" to save it to the computer.

Using Publisher

11. Open Publisher and click the "Business Cards" button in the "Most Popular" section of the "Available Templates" screen. Scroll through the available card templates and double-click one to customize. The card opens in the Publisher screen.

12. Click into one of the card's text boxes, which becomes highlighted. Type directly over the placeholder text with information about the massage therapist.

13. Click once on the placeholder logo on the card. Press the "Delete" key to remove it. Click the "Insert" tab on the top of the screen. Click the "Clip Art" button below the tab. Type a term such as "massage," "massage therapy" or "massage therapist" into the "Search for" box.
