Doctor's offices and hospitals around the world use cubicle curtains in their everyday work. These curtains are hung and drawn to give patients and their families privacy or to prevent other people from watching procedures or personal events. Many of these curtains can serve multiple purposes, acting as window curtains, bedspreads or shower curtains as well as privacy shields. These curtains are constantly exposed to the perils of healthcare, from germs to bodily fluids, and so will need regular cleaning. When it comes time to clean the cubicle curtains, follow specific temperature instructions to avoid damage.
Instructions
1. Remove the cubicle curtains from their location in the room. Remove all hooks or attachments before putting them in the washing machine.
2. Wash curtains on a standard wash cycle with water at or below 160 degrees Fahrenheit. Use only synthetic detergents. Allow the washer to run through the spin cycle, and then remove them from the washer.
3. Dry cubicle curtains in a machine dryer set at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the dryer to run for five minutes, and then remove the curtains.
4. Return hooks or attachments to the curtains and replace the curtains to their proper places.
