Spikenard Incense Uses

Spikenard incense has a musky, woody aroma that it very spicy. It can be a pungent scent until you get used to it. Spikenard incense is used in aromatherapy and can help with stress-related conditions because it is calming, grounding and soothing to the senses. Spikenard should be used sparingly because of its strong aroma.


Anxiety


Spikenard can help relieve anxiety. Its calming effects on the mind and body promote relaxation, making it easier to let go of all of life's troubles and care. It works great with meditation for calming the mind.


Insomnia


Also because of its soothing and calming abilities, Spikenard can be used to help promote sleep in people who suffer from insomnia. Burn a small stick of incense at night prior to bedtime to ease the body into a better state for sleep. Doing it before actually laying down will help make bed a place to sleep not to toss and turn waiting for sleep.
