1. Take aloe vera pills. They can be found in most health food stores, and they will help your body process water more quickly during a period.


2. Avoid salt and sodium, as they make your body retain water. Use other flavorings to spice up your food. Read labels on pre-packaged foods to see if they contain "hidden" sodium.


3. Get lots of vitamins A and B6. These mild diuretics aid in processing water and getting it out of your system to relieve bloating.


4. Watch what you eat. Stay away from chocolate, caffeine and refined sugars. Poor nutrition increases water retention. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables to relieve bloating.








5. Sweat to get rid of excess water, but continue to drink water while you work out.


6. Drink chamomile tea. The herbs will soothe some of the pain caused by your period, and the mild diuretic effect will relieve the bloating.
