Treat Low Estrogen Naturally

As women age, their estrogen levels decrease naturally, but in young women estrogen levels can be low because of other conditions. If you are a pre-menopausal woman with low estrogen, you can find natural estrogen sources to restore the correct hormone balance.

Instructions

1. Meat, dairy, eggs and most animal products are rich in hormones including estrogen. Eating more protein from animal sources is one way to increase estrogen levels naturally with our resorting to expensive creams and supplements.

2. Vegetarians can also take advantage of plant foods rich in natural estrogens, progestins. Try eating more apples, cherries, flax seed, garlic, eggplants, olives, and potatoes. Many grain staples such as oats, wheat, and soy are also naturally rich in estrogens.

3. Certain foods inhibit estrogen, so if you have low estrogen levels, you may want to cut back on or eliminate broccoli, cabbage, corn, onions, grapes, and pineapple.

4. Women with more severe cases of low estrogen, (particularly women who've had hysterectomies, PCOS, or high testosterone) may need more concentrated hormone replacement therapy. If you are worried about the effects of synthetic hormones, you can still get estrogen therapy from natural sources.

Some of these include estrogen derived from the urine of pregnant mares, or estrogen creams and pills from soy. Although the though of taking medicine made from horse pee is gross, this is one of the safest and most commonly used natural estrogen source

5. Before beginning a regimen of estrogen replacement, talk to your doctor about the risks of hormone therapy.
