Identify Penis Pain
1. Locate the origin of your penis pain. Penis pain can emanate from a variety of different places on your penis, so learning to pinpoint its origin will help you to determine the cause of the pain. For instance, balanitis causes pain at the head of the penis, while certain penile skin conditions will cause pain centered around the shaft of the penis.
2. Match the origin of your penis pain with a corresponding affliction. Once you have localized the origin of your penis pain, search the Internet or medical literature at your local library for possible causes. The library will carry an extensive collection of medical literature, some of which will be focused entirely on penis ailments. If you suffer from fluid discharge or skin discoloration, consult the literature's pictures for a match.
3. Learn to differentiate penis pain that is caused by breakage from penis pain that is caused by a sexually transmitted disease. While both stem from sexual activity, a penis break will, often, be felt immediately after the organ is ruptured. However, a sexually transmitted disease will take weeks before any ill affects are felt or seen. A broken penis results in a sharp, debilitating pain that will cause an immediate end to your sexual activity.
4. Seek medical attention for almost any form of penis pain. Penis pain denotes a more serious ailment and should be treated with expert medical attention immediately after detection. Failure to do so could result in furthered spread of infection or a decrease in ability to treat the ailment.
5. Follow the doctor's recommendations and use medication accordingly. A broken penis is, in many cases, repairable as long as treatment is administered immediately after the break occurs. Other ailments, such as sexually transmitted diseases, should be monitored closely after their first outbreak, and should be treated with medication on a consistent basis.
