The world is full of single people. Yet, being without a girlfriend can start to get lonely after a while, especially if all of your close guy friends--and even your younger brother--have significant others. Once you decide that you are ready to start dating, consider the many resources you can access to find a girlfriend. Keep an open mind and try not to rule out ideas that sound scary, such as blind dates, for you never know who you may meet.
Network
Network with your friends, coworkers, relatives or classmates to find out if anyone knows of a great single girl for you to meet. Personal recommendations can often be trusted, so this method may be less intimidating than meeting someone who is unknown to everyone, including you. If someone knows of a girl for you to meet, find out a little bit about her first to see whether you have any common interests.
The Blind Date

From there, you will be introduced to ladies who are looking for someone who matches your profile. Since communication exchanges begin through the computer, you have a safe and comfortable buffer until you decide to go on a live date.
Group Activities
Sign up for group activities that interest you and are going on in your community, such as hiking clubs or art groups. You might be able to meet your future girlfriend in a club, or meet someone who wants to set you up with a girl that they know.
Faith-Based Organizations
If you are religious, consider looking for a girlfriend at church or synagogue. Check to see whether the organization you belong to hosts singles nights, or if your Pastor or Rabbi knows someone to set you up with.

When all else fails take your dog on a walk and see whether you can attract single ladies who walk or jog by. A cute dog will be hard for ladies to resist. Keep in mind that this tactic may only work if your pet is friendly. A barking dog might have the opposite effect and scare away prospective dates.
Parties
Go to some parties with your friends and see whether there are any new female faces in the crowd. If you notice any, strike up a conversation with her and see where things go. Just make sure you are not accidentally hitting on somebody else's girlfriend.
Traveling
Some people meet their significant others while on trips, such as cruises or backpacking through Europe on a tour group. If you love to travel, take your relationship opportunities overseas and be open to meeting women from other parts of the world.
