Make A Body Polishing Spa Treatment

Pamper yourself with inexpensive homemade body polish.

This multistep skin-polishing spa treatment works by helping to exfoliate the skin gently to remove dirt, excess oil and dead skin. The next step nourishes the skin, restoring its natural moisture. Follow the polish with a relaxing soak in the tub to help soothe and comfort the skin. Enjoy the luxury of a spa treatment without the budget-busting price tag.

Instructions

1. Stir together the rice flour (also called rice powder), turmeric and sandalwood. Slowly drizzle in the body oil while stirring the mixture together gently.

2. Apply a thin layer over the entire body, massaging in a circular motion from the feet to the upper neck area. To reduce the mess, complete this step while standing on a towel or in the tub or shower.

3. Allow the mixture to dry, about 20 to 30 minutes. Once it's dry, or after 30 minutes, use a dampened cloth to gently massage off the polish, and then rinse your body gently with cool water.

4. Massage the yogurt into your skin, once again moving from the feet to the upper neck area. Wait about 20 minutes before gently rinsing away the yogurt.

5. Fill the bath with cool or warm water and pour in some fresh flower petals or dry flowers. Try lavender or rose, or a combination of both. You can use as little or as much as you like.

6. Soak about 20 to 30 minutes. Don't rinse the flower water off, but gently pat dry.
