Colors of the chakras
Chakras are spinning energy centers that run from the base of the spine out through the top of the head. A bracelet that symbolizes the seven energy centers in the body is a powerful symbol and meditational aid; gazing at the colors in association with the alignment in the body will pinpoint your focus as you align each chakra. A chakra bracelet is an unusually thoughtful gift for the spiritual gurus or friends in your life and will certainly be treasured for many years.
Instructions
1. Place your crystals and beads on a towel to prevent them from rolling around.
2. Wrap the elastic cord around your wrist twice, adding an extra 4 inches for tying the ends. Cut the cord in half to create two cords; beading with two cords increases the bracelet's strength and durability.
3. Tie a secure knot 2 inches from one end. Tie a second knot on the same knot pulling securely.
4. Add a crystal bead starting with the first or base chakra color, which is red. Continue stringing colored beads in this order: the orange, or sacral chakra; yellow, or stomach chakra; green, or heart chakra; blue, or throat chakra; indigo, or third-eye chakra; and violet, or crown chakra. Alternate each chakra color bead with a silver or gold bead.
5. Continue repeating the colors and alternating beads until you have 2 inches of cord left.
6. Tie a double or triple knot connecting the other end of the cord to finish off the bracelet.
7. Put the bracelet on the soup can like you would your wrist; this will pull it taut, so that you can now glue the knot securely. Squeeze a tiny drop of glue to cover the knot. Allow to dry for an hour.
