Fight Fatigue With Simple Habits
1. Sit up straight to fight fatigue. Just fifteen minutes of reading or typing in the wrong position will exhaust the neck, the shoulders and the upper back muscles. Reclining slightly to relieve muscle tension from the lower back is the better choice. Move into different postures throughout the day to improve circulation and reduce muscle fatigue.
2. Eating bananas will liven you up. Bananas contain three natural sugars, sucrose, fructose and glucose. Bananas also contain plenty of fiber. They give you an instant substantial and sustained boost of energy. Try making energy boosting dishes, by mixing fruits such as bananas with any type of berries that you enjoy eating. You can mix the fruit in a bowl or eat them separately. Make a smoothie drink by combining fruits in the blender. Blend 1 banana, 1/4 cup of berries, 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt, and a couple of ice cubes. Drink it slowly and enjoy.
3. Rubbing your ears is one way to get more energy. Sounds silly, but it works. Stimulating the pressure points in the ear can increase your energy flow. For a boost, gently rub your ear for one minute. Your ear will get warm, this is a sign that the blood is circulating. You will feel like you have more pep in your step. Bathing with grapefruit is also known for its revitalizing ability. Suds up in a grapefruit scented shower or bath and you will be out the door with a smile on your face in no time. To get the circulation going, use a body scrub, textured sponge or gloves. The water should be slightly cool to give your body a refreshing lift.
4. Try the cold water cure to fight fatigue. Wet your face and the back of your neck with cold tap water. Next gargle with cold water. Your face, neck and throat are sensitive and shocking them with cold water temporarily diverts energizing blood to all the muscles in your body. Using ice cubes are another refreshing way to refresh. Just take an ice cube and rub it over your face and eyelids for a second. You will be surprised at how alert you are.
