Produce homemade ointment with beeswax.
Beeswax is used in several products, from salves, to lotions, to candles. Beeswax is believed to soften and smooth the skin, and also to lock moisture into the skin by creating a long-lasting protective barrier against the elements. Beeswax is also an ingredient found in lotions and creams used to lessen the itching and pain associated with eczema and psoriasis due to the anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Homemade beeswax ointment can be produced for a fraction of the price of store-bought products.
